Gallery of Heroes, Notables and Villains III

This portrait is of Major Melkior, a staff 'galloper' (junior officer with superior riding skills) attached to the command staff of the Imperial Guard Legion.

The gaunt visage is symptomatic of a long-service veteran; While the standard commission for Imperial Officers is for life, many choose to extend their term of enlistment.

Recent recruit, sergeant-major McDuff of the 2nd regiment, 3rd (Ghoul) corps of the Imperial reserve.  RSM McDuff, already a discharged 25-year veteran, was driven to re-enlist when his entire family (including himself) were slaughtered by the incursion of the nomad horde into Kazlonia.  Today he fights resolutely, with the refrain "Remember Ugrod!" on his lips.  When he remembers.

Showing a previously unrecognized aptitude for clandestine missions, Colonel Philotanus, of the Immortal Mage Legion, recently returned from a sabbatical "Walking Holiday" in Quendor.  He is pictured here with an image of a bridge of strategic importance, located near Escalbar, with passing locals included to give accurate dimensions.

Agents operating in the Melderyni court supplied this image of corpulant Monarch, Chunel II, as he received accounts of progress from his army fighting in  Elorinar.

The container at his right contains supplies for his 20-a-day 'black lotus' habit.

Another sucess for Goblin covert operations:  The inclusion of dye in the unguents for his biennial bath-night has resulted in the facial hair of 'King' Folbin; Khuzan Dwarven warlord,  turning resolutely bright orange.  This is believed to be the cause of the inaction of Dwarven forces for several season now, as he waits for the colour to fade, safely ensconced in his underground multi level bunker, Tora-Bora ('place of gold and beer').
