The barbarians of the Peran Hills have a pantheon of gods unlike those in the rest of the world of Pandaria: Orlanth the King-God,  Ernalda the Earth-Mother, Issaries the Trader, Chalana Arroy the Healer, Lhankor My the Sage, Eurmal the Trickster, Uleria the Love Goddess and Humakt the Champion.

The barbarians have an unusually close association with their gods and therefore all may call upon spells, like clerics.

However the right to call for any spell must be earned by performing a minor quest or sacrifice, as specified by a priest dedicated to a god able to grant that spell. Some spells are common to all of the barbarian gods, but most belong to a particular cult. 

Followers of the barbarian gods may dedicated themselves to one cult in particular, learning the spell(s) of that deity first at each level. Those who earn many spells are regarded as Priests, or "Rune Priests"; those who rise in power but do not gain so many spells are honoured as "Rune Lords". There is a limit to the number of spells that may be gained at each level (WIS - 8).

There are some further restrictions on what may be gained: 'Resurrection' cannot be gained by anyone who has a spell from Humakt; nor 'Sever Spirit' by anyone who has a spell from Chalana Arroy. 
(Note that the cult of Erlin the Minstrel is not yet known upon the world of Pandaria and therefore his spells cannot currently be gained by anyone, except directly from his one Priest, Dranlen Frontis the Bard).
