Monetary System
The basic monetary unit in Pandaria is the silver piece. One silver piece is equivalent in value to one old-fashioned pound sterling (£1).
Copper and gold coins are also in common use and have fairly fixed values relative to silver. Other coins also in circulation, such as platinum and electrum, are rarer and not always accepted. Money is in normal usage but barter and bargaining are also common practice.
